Jean Noblet Tarot de Marseille – Joseph Peterson

THE Wheel of Fortune

Something is moving you dear Gemini. Something vast and deep and profound. It is bringing you around to new visions of your self more true than you’ve ever seen before. It will be very liberating when the ride is over. But right now? Right now it is going to bring up a lot of feelings. First, about having emotions you cannot control. Second, around the fact that something outside of what you think of as your self is actually directing your life right now. Not being in control will be a challenge and you might be feel like all you can do is hold on and hope you fall off the bottom of the Wheel of Fortune. Trust me this won’t happen.

Life is conspiring to bring you deeper happiness and healing through the coming months but it needs something from you in return. Instead of getting distracted – make space to sit and witness the shift. Rather than talking about it – keep it quietly in the centre of you heart where it can safely send up new growth. Keep a loose grip on the steering wheel so you can feel the gentle pull of spirit helping you navigate.

As a spiritual practice consider getting a toy top and spinning it daily while speaking your fears and hopes. Spin it 22 times in honour of the tarot. Whispering, praying, chanting, and releasing all that is holding you back. Step into the profound movement that is carrying you forward instead of bracing against it. You will be so happy you did because when the top that is your life stops moving you’ll find yourself surrounded by what you wish for.

JUNE 22 – JULY 22
– Jennifer –

“But when my faith was under fire, I never turned around
And never once backed down from my desire
My heart and soul still had control and I knew”

– Lyrics from “Highest High” by The Brand New Heavies

Cancerians, you’ve been on a sort of spiritual pilgrimage this year. You may have been feeling held down, weighted with burden, or a deep sense of longing for a more fulfilling existence. All of these sensations are a nudge from the Universe to bring you into alignment with a craving for “more” that has been stirring in your soul.

Your keyword for the month of June is “higher.”

If you’ve been seeking a lift of your spirit, it can happen this month.

If you’ve felt dissatisfied with the status quo and desire to dream a bigger and bolder dream, it can happen this month.

If you are weary from lying to yourself or others and ready to speak and live your truth, it can happen this month.

Your two tarot allies to lift you higher this month are the 8 of Cups and 2 of Wands.

The 8 of Cups asks, “are you willing to do a trust walk-climb, without seeing where you are headed, to live a more honest and spiritually fulfilling life?”

The 2 of Wands asks, “can you suspend belief and a habit of realism to see the potential and possibilities for more than you ever dreamed, in the palm of your hand?”

The two cards, depicted so beautifully in the Circo Tarot, reflect a color scheme that invite an exploration of issues surrounding security and trust (red), intuition and vision (purple) and communication and truth (blue).

Where, in your life, do you need to heal wounds around violation of trust and safety?
What practices can you do to listen to and hone in on your inner knowing?
How can you use your inner eye to see a more expansive vision for your life?
Who can you practice honest and heartfelt communication with, to bring you into deeper relationship?

Cosmic Tarot – AGM Urania – 1986 | The Gospel of Aradia – Blue Angel

Hey there Leos!

You’re being called to pay special attention to your dreams this month.

Dreams come in so many forms – the totally weird ones you have when you are sleeping, the ones you stick on your vision board, and then there are day dreams that keep you going when the daily grind kind of sucks.

Your mind is a huge big bucket full of memories, thoughts and desires. It’s freaking incredible really isn’t it? Like if you think too much about what your mind actually does, it will like, blow your mind!

But to really be able to connect with your dreams in all their forms you’re gonna need to clear out some of the junk in your mental, emotional and subconscious trunks.

Right now is a really powerful time to clear out all the bad juju others have sent you. Remember none of us are perfect, and so many of those daggers that have been thrown at you weren’t really supposed to hurt you. Take your focus off the people who’ve hurt you, and just focus on the daggers lifting. For some really good clearing vibes pick up all the daggers you’ve sent to others too. Hey, it happens. #NoJudgement

You can release this goo through visualising yourself clear and shiny or by creating a little ritual to say bye bye to all the exes, frenemies and horrible bosses of your past. I like to write loving letters to those people and then burn or bury them.

When you create space in your mind, you’ll have room for your dreams and you’ll receive the answers, the guidance and the inspiration you need to make them come true.

With love, light and sweet dreams,

Astrological Oracle Cards – Castelli – Lo Scarabeo – 2012 | Tarot Mucha – Massaglia – Lo Scarabeo – 2014

Virgo + Mars

What needs creative expression?  – 5 of Swords
What needs to slow down? – 10 of Wands
What is ready for harvesting? – 4 of Wands
What needs shelter and care?  – 10 of Cups

Ah, Virgo – you’ve come to the point where you are questioning your recent decisions, having realized that you’re at the “midpoint” looking back on all that you’ve achieved. There’s a distinct sense that you’ve bitten off more than you can properly chew, so it may be time to delegate some of your responsibilities – the lesser ones, of course!

Now is a perfect time to take a break and step back to admire your successes. You’ve crossed the “hump” and are entering a much smoother phase, and that’s a reason to celebrate in itself! It’s also important now to focus on your personal relationships, as the stress of the past few months has taken its toll – don’t let your passionate burdens seep into the love department, even if your fretting is met with frustration and misunderstanding.

It’s never easy when you realize that it’s time to go back on an idea that’s important to you, even when you know that trying to keep on with it may just about kill you! It’s time to harness all of your sharp Virgo willpower and move on to what really matters – leaving your fears to rest is the first step towards embracing the peace that’s on its way to you. There’s lots of time for everything to fall into place, which is exactly what is happening for you now. Stay calm and lean in to the reserved side of your nature as you amend what’s not working out to open yourself to the happiness you deserve!

You’re poised to enter the figurative Land of Milk and Honey, and you don’t need to worry about getting it all done * right now * – the last thing you want to do is burn out! So, Virgo, take stock of what’s left and choose carefully. You always do! There are no wrong choices anyway, and as summer rolls in, for you it’s all coming up roses!

Madame Clara Sees All Tarot – Motel Gift Shop

Dear Libra, are you paying attention to your story unfolding this year? Last season was all about doing the work you love best and giving it all you had. Now as Gemini moves in, it is time to settle, take stock, and lighten your load.

Four of swords is at once warning and reward; you’ve been full-out all year and you will soon need to catch your breath to avoid burnout. Chances are you have hit burnout, so listen to your mind-body-spirit and pause as long as you can if not as long as you need. If a week or weekend or even a day off isn’t realistic, make rest a daily devotion. Choose yourself for half an a hour each day and do something quiet and rewarding that nourishes you. Brew yourself some lavender-jasmine tea, meditate, soak in a bath, breathe deeply and notice only your breath. Gift rest to yourself each day.

One more way to allow space for rest is to ask for help. Three of pentacles asks you to notice your community. After working so passionately and so long toward something, it can feel like it belongs to just us and its load to be borne ourselves. Where can you share your burden with those willing to help you? If team dynamics have been hard for you, is there a way that you might need to step up or even fall back? Let your community affirm you as well as hold you.

As we share of ourselves and of our work, after a time we may begin to feel over-exposed, wanting to take everything back, hide it away, and protect it. If that instinct comes to you in shadow, let the unnecessary barriers fall away so that you are not kept from new opportunities to grow. That being said, only you know what truly serves you, and if the instinct comes to you in light, two of swords is a warning that as your share and engage your community, be discerning with who you share your passion with.

Aquarian Tarot – Paladini – 1970 – US Games

Bitterness is like cancer. It eats upon the host. But anger is like fire. It burns it all clean.
– Maya Angelou

As the planets do their dance – moving forward and retreating, so too has your life moved through its transitions. This has not been a subtle dance. Yours is not a subtle sign. You’ve felt this retrograde season like the pit that it is – where parts of you burn away, leaving a hole and a cloud of smoke that heralds release.

The movement of the stars has been the backdrop of some serious shifts for you. And you are beyond looking for the way out of uncomfortable feelings. You’ve grown used to it. Has your heart hardened a bit in the last few weeks? Or did revisiting past issues clarify things for you and open your eyes to that which you didn’t want to see?

The end of this retrograde season casts you as the phoenix, gathering little flames like so much data and getting ready to burn again. Yours is not the firestorm of outrage. Mars stokes within you a more quiet flame. One you hold in front of your heart like a barrier or gate. One that keeps you safe. Maybe in situations where you hoped you wouldn’t need the double duty of hoping for the best and saving yourself in the event of the worst. The double duty is yours. You already know this. Whatever shadows lurk in your life right now are old news. Indeed, it feels like it’s been ages since you didn’t have to defend.

There’s a plot-twist here though. You won’t see it coming. This Gemini season will bring good things to light, brave Scorpios. Your fiery cocoon is part of something much bigger. Where anger and its like, the darker emotions, are fuel for a loooong overdue transformation. Your indestructible defense has given you much needed perspective and grown within you the space to let go, finally, of emotions and limitations that have been plaguing you for some time.

Embrace the flames Scorpios. Not anger for its own sake, but instead tend only the slow and thoughtful embers of change. The payoff is regeneration.

King of Swords // Queen of Wands

A transition is afoot. Spiritually, intellectually, energetically (and perhaps physically) you are in the process of a shift, and it’s an important one.

The King of Swords has been a defence mechanism for you for some time, a protective barrier, sturdy and strong. As this king, you are the boss of what you think and feel, the master of your self-image. Whatever you’ve been through, whatever you’ve seen, you’ve emerged with a powerful urge to scrub out grey areas and reveal what is black and what is white. There is no in-between. For justice to be served, it must be so.

It’s a powerful position, to be this much in control of what is seen and understood, and perhaps you’ve grown a reputation for being stern. Stern but fair, of course. For the whole reason for these defences has been fairness. Truth. Having your truth heard and understood.

Rest easy, Sagittarius. It has been heard. It has been understood. You’ve communicated with such force and such skill, there can be no doubt in anyone’s mind who you are, and what you are about, the justice that matters so deeply to you. You can relax a little, let go that tight grip, worry less about what others see.

And that is what this transition is about. June, for you, is an important shift away from this stern, black-and-white mentality, towards something completely different. The Queen of Wands beckons you with a wild, mad dance and a witchy bonfire. Unlike the King, this version of yourself gives zero fucks. It’s time to let loose.

Imagine you are completely free, to do or create whatever you like. If nobody was watching, if nobody cared, if you had only your passion and your inner fire to answer to…what would you do? Give yourself time to imagine that scenario. Then make it real. The time of the King of Swords was important to you, but that era is now drawing to a close. It’s time for something wilder, something weirder, time to give the world – and yourself – an exciting surprise.

Journey Into Egypt Tarot – Julie Cuccia-Watts – Self Published 2013

Astro Outlook :

With Mercury and Mars both currently retrograde, it’s best to use most of our energy to focus on inner growth, allowing new awareness to blossom. We can use these insights to guide our plans and actions more successfully once these two planets are again moving forward (Mercury goes direct 22 May; Mars goes direct 29 June).

Jupiter out of Retrograde

Jupiter going direct (as of Monday, 9 May) gives us a green light on some of our plans for expansion and enthusiasm. And if we feel a desire to be generous, let’s respond to it. With Jupiter in discerning Virgo, we will want especially to use our insights when we choose the responsibilities that we want to take on, and when we consider how we want to further develop our means of offering service to the world. We’re still in what’s called the shadow period of the retrograde through early August, so expand gently rather than all at once. Momentum will pick up as of August.

Venus in Taurus (through 24 May)

Venus is in Taurus, her home sign, until 24 May, and nurtures our gardens and our relationships. Venus in Taurus is a happy placement and is typically beaming, allowing you to enjoy all of her sensual delights. This time will be no different, since she’ll be at a gorgeous angle to Neptune, Jupiter, and Pluto during her stay. But with Mercury being retrograde in Taurus, at the same time you might notice that you’re revising your ideas around what gives you pleasure and how you make money. In the end however, it’ll all be positive changes.

Card for Capricorn : 6 of Cups

Ponder this …

• What is re-turning, being re-membered, triggering re-miniscence that I need to pay attention to?
• Am I getting lost in the past and worried about the future, forgetting to be present in the moment?
• Am I seeing things in relationship to « when » rather than taking into account their « place »?
« A place belongs forever to whoever claims it hardest, remembers it most obsessively, wrenches it from itself, shapes it, renders it, loves it so radically that he remakes it in his own image. » ~ Joan Didion

Memories … reminiscences … childhood … happy times (at least in the way we’re remembering them) from days gone by … old friends, family, lovers, places popping back up into our consciousness in some way …

These are all aspects that seem to float in and out of the coming month, bobbing to the surface of our recollections or our email inbox or our dreams.

But it’s wise to remember that how we remember and view the past isn’t necessarily the truth or reality of it. We have to be careful that we don’t put a hazy, golden glow on the past and create what never really was in order to justify why the present isn’t to our liking.

How we see, experience, feel things has everything to do with the combination of the where and when. If we just allow ourselves to focus back on the when (such as « when things used to be like … » or « when I was younger … » or « when the person was in my life … »), then we twist things into the way we choose to prefer and remember them, setting up an unrealistic comparison to the present.

Places, in particular, may jog memories or bring back past life experiences.

The past is the present is the future … let go of « when » and be with what is.

Rider-Waite – US Games Inc – 1971

Where we are, where we want to go, with how to get there in the middle.

This is a month when those of us with Aquarian content in our charts are being asked to use some maverick footwork.

The 8 of Swords looks like challenge. The figure is stepping forward, blindfold. S/he is ‘neither bound, nor free’, and although it’s a place of restriction and limit, s/he has crossed a threshold of upright verticals. That has to be a growth experience.

At the other end of the spread we have the 9 of Pentacles, the card of material abundance. 9 is magical. (Alright, all numbers are magical…)

Anytime a 9 shows up in a spread if you multiply the numerical values of the cards together, in this case 8 x 2 x 9 = 144, the added digits of the total will always reduce to 9. And that’s just magical arithmetic. If such stuff interests you, look out for a film called ‘The Man Who Knew Infinity’, starring Dev Patel.

How to move from restricted thinking (bound air), to material plenty (cultivated earth)? And in the middle, between these two polarities, the 2 of Pentacles reversed, a card of transition and/or decision.

Deploy the magic of the number 9. Acknowledge your highest personal positive values and use them to go beyond the endless mobius strip of the lemniscate. Raise the vibes and along the way you can release the inverted figure doing sling-juggling with his coins. Upside down, with all that watery blue doesn’t he look like he needs an escape?

Right now your ancient ruler, Saturn, is lingering in fiery Sagittarius. Use Saturnine precision with Sagittarian expansiveness. Be generous, but be exact. … Aquarius is operating outside the box. That’s something you’re known to be good at!

The Tarot of Marseille – Noblet (Paris c.1650) – restored by Jean-Claude Flornoy.

Back in January, you were full of good intentions and visionary ambitions. But this year, spring’s taking its time to get started, and you’re starting to lose faith. It’s not that things are going badly; you just expect better, and faster. Impatience, and a dash of unrealistic expectations, may have put you on the verge of a royal tantrum. Do you:

  1. Go on the offensive; mount a no-holds-bars campaign to leave no candle unburned until success is yours.
  2. Tighten your belt and plod on – slow and steady wins the race.
  3. Cast your net wider, switch tactics – it’s not too late to start over.

This is the month that the Empress’s can-do, take-no-prisoners attitude awakens. Your inner Amazon is roused like a previously hibernating beast. Pisces tends to bury their drive for world domination under a caring, sharing exterior – and it’s true that their aspirations tend to be for the greater good. The flipside is that the Empress can be a possessive and controlling mother.

Unfortunately, sheer willpower isn’t enough to advance your cause. You have what it takes to succeed, but patience and sensitivity are needed to hone your path. Where I live, outdoor gardening season doesn’t officially start until the last weekend of May. If you’re determined to fast track your way to success, be prepared for unexpected frosts and freak snowfall.

To avoid the pitfalls of wasted energy and disappointment, take a moment to question your deeper motivations. What do you find yourself hungering for now, and why? Are you prepared to sacrifice instant gratification for long-term gain? Trust in the strength of your foundations. You’ve planted the seeds – it’s time to let nature take care of the rest.

The Orbifold Tarot – Michael Bridge-Dickson – Self-published, 2015.

Main theme: Four of Water, reversed
Underlying energy: Queen of Air, reversed
Helpful next step: Temperance
6 cards on left: First half of Gemini Season
6 cards on the right: Second half of Gemini season
Final insight/outcome: The Magician

Hello, dear Aries! While the Sun transits through Gemini, the moon will also complete a cycle from Full to Full in Sagittarius (but only for 53 minutes before it enters Capricorn!). This cycle will be all about harnessing your feelings, balancing them with logical thought, and taking actions based on this balance. Critical thinking should take center stage most of the time, seeking to temper the passions and feelings that’ve been running the show the past month.

During the first quarter of this Gemini season, as the moon wanes from Full to Half-Full in Pisces, it may seem like there isn’t much action on the outside, but there’ll be a lot of thought rearrangement. If there’s been a decision weighing on you, during this time the right choice for you may become very clear. There may be some intense, deep conversations if this decision involves someone else.

As the moon darkens into New in Gemini, you are ready to take the actions decided during the waning moon, helping you close a chapter in your life that’s been on the cusp of being done for a while. It may be difficult, but after this week, you’ll feel almost ready for a new beginning…

As the moon waxes into the Virgo/Libra Quarter moon, you’ll be processing the emotional aftermath of this ending chapter, and you’ll start feeling joyful exaltation, realizing what a healing effect these actions have on your life. All the feels may appear these days, so try to be aware, and catch yourself if emotions start to take over the show again.

As the moon fills back up, a sense of self-righteousness starts setting in, empowered by the insights gained and actions taken during the previous weeks. Your fiery Ram nature kicks in, and you may end up bulldozing through the final bits of the story you’re trying to put to rest, in typical Aries fashion. Careful! The Tower card in this deck is all about allowing the strength of your convictions and the fire of your spirit to work in tandem to awaken your consciousness. As long as you apply Temperance, you’re in control. The boat needs to be rocked, so hang tight, and rock it!

Cosmos Tarot – Light Grey Art Lab – 2015

6 of Fire // 8 of Water

Hallelujah!!!  The battle has ended and we are emerging as the victor!  Last month we fought ourselves to become our BEST selves.  We challenged our spirit with change AND set out to pursue our passion with vigor. And guess what? WE WON! *cues DJ Khaled’s “All I Do Is Win”*  We totally deserve the victory dance party that is surely under way!  We listened to our fire, defended our position on staying true to ourselves, and now we can return home with a badge of honor and feelings of accomplishment. But pace yourself.  Now that you have been through hell and can tell the story, don’t let it go to your head.  There was quite a bit of soul searching and humility you had to endure to get to this point, so remember that and try to keep your inflation to a minimum.  It’s great to be the talk of the town and popular, rehashing your story to anyone that asks or DOESN’T ask, but your brag-a-docious attitude will completely sully all the hard and meaningful work you did to improve yourself.

The 8 of Water is giving us the clue that we have experienced TREMENDOUS growth and the need for a hype man and adoring fans is no longer necessary.  You have decided to do all of this for YOU, no one else.  It’s great to share your story if you feel it will benefit another soul’s growth, but it’s NOT ok to share if you are seeking validation from those around you in order to feel important.  That’s like taking 20 steps backward.  The purpose is elevation and following your divine destiny to make the greatest impact on the world as a whole; not to become the King/Queen of the Universe.  With the advice of Venus, it’s time to turn to beauty.  Soothe yourself with self-love in the forms of art, music, dance, and exercise.  Take care of this NEW you in the best ways you can think of.  Showing yourself how to love YOU will be a cheat sheet for those that may want to step in and love you too…
